1. Review the Resources and reflect on the definition and goal of EBP.
According to NIH, evidence based practice (EBP) is when health care professionals uses the best evidence possible from what has been practiced in the past, i.e. the most appropriate information available, to make clinical decisions for individuals patients (2019). The use of EBP allows health care workers to treat patients individually based on research since health care is forever changing, individualized and it involves uncertainties and probabilities.

1. Choose a professional healthcare organization’s website (e.g., a reimbursing body, an accredited body, or a national initiative).
ANA-American Nurses Association is a national initiative foundation that leverages the combined strength of each to drive excellence in practice and ensure nurses’ voices and vision are recognized by policy leaders, industry influencers, and employers. The ANA Enterprise is the leading resource for nurses to equip themselves with the tools, information, and network they need to excel in their individual practices (www.nursingworld.org/ana-enterprise, 2019).
1. Explore the website to determine where and to what extent EBP is evident.
There was no evidence of EBP when I initially opened the website. I did not see any evidence in the vision or mission. I decided to use the search engine to locate any evidence of EBP use. I was able to pull up several topics that referenced evidenced based practice, about 808 references to EBP. It is evident that it is being encouraged and well-grounded using evidenced based practice. The information I received did not change my perception because it is not new to me. I have taken a class on this topic in the past and I try to use it as often as possible at work.
